WHEN IS THE RIGHT TIME TO OPEN MY POOL?

We recommend opening your pool in the Treasure Valley at least two weeks before you would like to use it. We also suggest opening the pool before the weather warms up too much because warmer weather will mean warmer water in your pool and warmer water can increase your chance of algae growth. Algae growth will most likely mean that your chemical costs significantly increase. If you have any other questions or would like to schedule your pool opening contact us today

MY POOL USES SALT TO SANITIZE THE WATER, HOW DOES THAT WORK?

A salt water pool has a salt cell that makes chlorine using electrolysis. That's right, it produces traditional chlorine. Many people like salt water pools because they continuously produce chlorine which reduces the amount of chlorine they have to store or handle. Having a salt system often means less chemical costs (Salt, Muriatic Acid, etc.) however, the average salt cell lasts 5-7 years before needing to be replaced. Overall, the cost between a salt water pool and standard chlorine pool is about the same and your preference. Contact us today to talk about how best to maintain your salt water pool chemistry and equipment.
